On the occasion of the Day for the Oases a Relationship on the Biodiversity 60% of the vertebrates are to risk

Saturday and Sunday great harvest deep in 700 Italian plazas

Animals, plants and habitat to risk: here is the list of those rarer, more known, that the WWF has worded on the occasion of the Day for the Oases that already from next weekend it will be in 700 Italian plazas with a great harvest funds to sustain the many concrete projects of guardianship of the most precious nature. 

In the panorama of the animals to risk protected by the oases there are: among the Mammalian kinds notes as the brown bear and the wolf; near kind to the extinction as the otter (the rarest terrestrial mammal in Italy); a little known as as the Vespertilio of Capaccini (one of the so many bats in diminution in Italy); in resumption as the Sardinian buck.

Many the Birds, to start from the birds of prey: the biancone, the Sardinian astore, the lanario, the real kite, the capovaccaio; and then less known kind but as many fascinating as the hen prataiola, the colombella, the mignattaio, the sea jay, the woodpecker dorsobianco, the moretta tabaccata. To risk also many Amphibians and Reptiles often located, as the Mediterranean tree frog, the frog of Lataste, the Sardinian newt, the dark pelobate and then the terrestrial tortoise of Hermann, the tortoise of water and the sea turtle that it often visits the sure beaches. Serious the situation of the Italian Pisceses: some kinds are by now reduced, as the trout macrostigma, the trout marmorata, the lampreda of river, all present ones in alune oasis WWF. So many, as also the Invertebrates, to start from the shrimp of river, and from the beautiful alpine rosalia, bug typical of the great faggetes, to continue with a lot of butterflies as the licena of the swamps, the polissena, the apollo, the Sardinian macaone. Finally the plants, among which precious kind as the wild (Ipomea sagittata) campanella, the marshy orchid, the vallonea, various fiordalisi and the thermal (Cyperus polystachys) zigolo, a relative of the papyrus, very located.

One of the objective principals of the Oases of the WWF is the maintenance of the biodiversity and the habitats: on 35.000 hectares of territory protected by the 130 Oases of the WWF over 24.000 they are constituted by ecosystems among the richest of kind: the damp (15.871 hectares, a system between the vast and complexes of Italy) zones and the forests and stains (8.566 hectares). The defense of the habitats is also one of the priorities pointed out by the European Community: the grasslands of posidonie, the lagoons, the salty steppes, the vegetation of the coastal dunes, the cespuglietis of pines mughi and rododendri, the woods of laurel, the faggetes appenniniche of rate and holly, the abetines appenniniche must be defended by the destruction, from the I degrade and from the aggression practiced by some human activities as the urbanization, the reclamations, the realization of infrastructures that they destroy or they fragment the territory.

"What is offered by the Oases is a panorama of the most precious, known and less known nature. Fulco Pratesi has declared, President of the WWF Italia - and it shows as the protected areas, that 10% of territory made of national Parks, understood natural Reserves the 130 Oases of the WWF, are the essential tool to save from an inexorable extinction beautiful and rare animals and allowing million of visitors to approach them and to admire them, as on April 21 will happen, the Day when we will free open 100 Oases to the public" 

On the risk that precious kinds disappear it doesn't need to lower the watch: as it shows the Relationship Biodiversity of the WWF on 494 kinds of vertebrates well 338 (over 60%) are in the red List: the more class to risk is that of the fishes of sweet (88%) water as the trout macrostigma and trout marmorata, reduced to lean populations in the rivers of central Italy and Sardinia the first one and of northern Italy the second. The I degrade of these environments and the immission of kind "alien" (nutrie, exotic tortoises of water, fishes you torpedo) and the immission of the Trouts fario used for the repopulation has played a heavy role for these two animals.

Under accusation, for the impoverishment of the Biodiversity, at least 15 "sinned capitals" among which the reclamation of the swamps (disappeared in the last 100 years the 80% of the Italian swamps), the transformation of the natural habitats for the realization of infrastructures (effect barrier of roads and highways), the pesticidi pollution, the poaching, all behaviors obviously "banished" in the protected areas of the WWF.

The otter, for instance, in the past centuries rather common in our rivers, you/he/she is relegated in shed nucleuses: many are found in the Oases as the Caves of the Bussento, Persano, St. Giuliano, Policoro that together they entertain a fundamental portion of the whole Italian population.  The Sardinian buck, after 15 years of protection of his/her habitat in the oasis of Mountain Arcosu, is increased here from as soon as 70-80 samples of 15 years ago to almost 1000, and its forest is one of the entire of the Mediterranean: this kind represents one of the greatest victories of the Italian WWF realized really thanks to an extraordinary operation of harvest deep.  The wolf, 500 samples that are regaining, after years of poaching, our mountains trespassing even in Switzerland and France, it is present in the Oases appenniniche of Frasassi and Torricchio (Brands), Throats of the Sagittarius in Abruzzo, Guardiaregia (Molise) and Polveracchio (Campania).  The enormous variety show of plants, of which Italy holds the European (around the 50% of the European flora it grows in Italy, despite the national surface both of 1/30mo of that European) record is another of the characteristics of a lot of Oases: as the maple of Lobeliius, the hoary thistle, the fiordaliso of the Sagittarius, Limonium ionicum, the alpine star appenninica, all you insert in the red Lists. They still stay intact some woods of lowland, disappeared almost wherever; it is the case of the Oases of the WWF of Alvisopoli, Verneto, Vanzago, Policoro, Bottaccio, Wood Tenso, Pole, Macchiagrande. Safe also the great trees, as sughere, beech trees, white firs, farnie, protected by the Oases as the 102 Chestnut trees of the Clash of the I Fish old of over 800 years.
