Disciplinary of production

Article 1

The denomination of checked origin "Morellino of they Shift" it is reserved to the red wine that answers to the conditions and the requisite established by the disciplinary present of production.

Article 2

The wine' "Morellino of they Shift" you/he/she must be gets from the grapes coming from the vineyards composed by the vine Sangiovese.
You/they can compete to the production of the "Morellino of they Shift" also the grapes coming from vines to black fruit "recommended" e/o "authorized" for the province of Grosseto and presents in the vineyards up to a maximum general of 15%.

Article 3

The grapes destined to the production of the wine "Morellino of they Shift" you/they must have produced in the inside of the understanding zone the hilly band of the province of Grosseto among the rivers Ombrone and Albegna, that it includes the whole administrative territory of the commune of they Shift and part of the town territories of Manciano, Magliano in Tuscany, Grosseto, Campagnatico Semproniano and Roccalbegna.
Such zone is so delimited:
from the intersection of the town confinements of they Shift, Manciano and Roccalbegna, the limit follows toward north the stream Fiascone up to the farm of the Uses, continuous along the inside road of the farm Marrucheta near the farm Montecchio, continues along the road of Valley Zuccaia, it reaches the river Albegna, it crosses him/it and continuous on the town road Fibbianello in common of Semproniano to quota 470. From here it turns to east, he/she meets the provincial road of the Follonata, continuous for said road up to the Santarello, therefore it goes down to south and it forwards him in the commune of Manciano following the old road up to the inhabited area of Knoll Huts. From this place, the line of delimitation still goes down to south along the road for Baths of Saturnia, up to again meet the provincial road of the Follonata that follows up to the ditch Adorned with stars. It goes up again the course of motto ditch up to quota 191, continuous to south for the road Camporeccia up to the inhabited area of Farms of Montemerano, crosses the government road n. 323, continuous, diverting southwest, along the old road Customs and it reaches the farm Equine. For the road of the Loose ones it again reaches the river Albegna in correspondence of the confluence of the ditch Hatchery. To this point he/she dictates line of delimitation it follows the course of the river Albegna up to the ford of the Marianaccia and, diverting to west, it enters the commune of Magliano in Tuscany, it crosses the road of Hill of Wolf up to Grinds Old, it goes up again northwestern for the road of S.Andrea to the Civilesco, ridiscende toward south for the road Magliano in Tuscany Boat of the Pardons it diverts to west for the road of the it dares and it continues along the town limit of Magliano in Tuscany up to cross the government road n.1 Aurelia. Entering the commune of Grosseto, the line of delimitation is identified with said government road Aurelia up to the alternative of they Shift in the place Rapier, it continues for the road Scansanese up to meet the administrative limit of the commune of they Shift in the place Magliano following him/it up to meet the road Cinigianese; continuous along said road interesting the commune of Campagnatico up to the farm of the Granaione; it continues therefore to east, along the road poderale for the Coppaio and Camposasso and it connects him to the town limit of they Shift in Sudden proximity of the farm in sour of Baccinello, following him/it up to the intersection of the town limits of they Shift, Manciano and Roccalbegna where the line of delimitation has had beginning.

Article 4.

The environmental conditions and of crop of the vineyards destined to the production of the wine "Morellino of they Shift" you/they must be those traditional of the zone and however fit to confer to the grapes and the wine the specific characteristics.
I am, therefore, to consider him fit entirely the hilly grounds of good exposure with exclusion of those of fondovalle.
The orders of plant, the forms of breeding and the systems of pruning must be those generally used and, however, actions not to modify the characteristics of the grapes and the wine.
Every practice of forcing is forbidden.
The maximum surrender of grape admitted for the production of the wine "Morellino of they Shift" you/he/she must not be superior to q.li 120 for hectare of specialized crop. Fermo staying the maximum limit above suitable, the surrender for hectare of vineyard in promiscuous crop must be calculates, in comparison to that specialized, in relationship to the real surface covered by the grapevine.
To said limits, also in favorable years exceptionally, the surrender must have brought through an accurate selection of the grapes, provided that the global production of the vineyard doesn't overcome of 20% the limits themselves.
The maximum surrender of the grape in wine must not be superior to 70%.

Article 5.

The grapes destined to the vinificazione must assure a gradation to the wine alcoholic general least disposition of 11.
In the vinificazione the practical fit local and constant enologiches are acknowledged only to confer to the wine his peculiar characteristics.
The operations of vinificazione and aging must have effected within the zone of production of the grapes, delimited in the precedent article 3.

Article 6.

The wine "Morellino of they Shift" to the action of the immission to the consumption you/he/she must correspond to the characteristic followings:

• color: red extending ruby to the pomegranate with the aging
• odor: wine and, after the aging, perfumed, ethereal, intense, pleasant, end
• taste: dry, austere, warm, slightly tannico
• least alcoholic gradation: 11,5
• least total acidity: 5 for thousand
• extract dry clean minimum: 22 for thousand

It is faculty of the office of the agriculture and the Forests to modify, with really decree, the least ones above suitable for the total acidity and the clean dry extract.

Article 7.

The wine "Morellino of they Shift" produced with grapes having a gradation alcoholic general least disposition of 11 ,5 if submitted to a period of non inferior aging to years two, of which at least one in strokes preferably of oak, and introduced to the consumption with a least general alcoholic gradation of 12 you/he/she can bring in label the mention "reserve."
The period of aging has elapsed since following January 1° to the year of production of the grapes. On the bottles and other containing containers the wine "Morellino of they Shift" you/he/she can show up the year of production of the grapes provided that truthful and documentable. Such indication is always however obligatory for the type "reserve."

Article 8

To the denomination "Morellino of they Shift" it is forbidden any anticipated additional qualification not from the disciplinary present understood ivi the adjectives "superior", "elegant extra", "select", "selected" or similar.
And forbidden additionally also the use to the denomination "Morellino of they Shift" of geographical indications and toponomastiche that make communes reference, fractions, areas and inclusive place in the zone delimited of which to the precedent article 3.
Nevertheless the use of indications is allowed that does names reference, social reasons, deprived marks, not having laudatory meaning and not such to deceive the buyer.

Article 9.

Whoever produces, he/she sells, it sets in sale or however it distributes for the consumption with the denomination of checked origin "Morellino of they Shift", wines that don't answer to the conditions and the requisite of the disciplinary present, norm of the article 28 of the Dpr is punished to July 12 th 1963 n. 930.
