From on September 24 to January 9 a show to rediscover the treasures of the province in Siena
MASTERPIECES FOUND AGAIN IN EARTH IN SIENA
For the first visible time to the public You Madonna with his/her Child and the Saints of Batolomeo Bulgarini "Masterpieces found again in earth in Siena", it is the event in autumn organized by the Foundation Museums Senesi and the Province in Siena in collaboration with the Town administration and the Apt of the territory, and with the contribution of the Foundation MPS. From on September 24 to January 9, near the Civic Museums of St. Gimignano, inside the Room of Giving, close to the famous cycles of frescos representing scenes of hunting and tournament attributed to the painter Azzo of Masetto, and to the great Majesty of Lippo Memmi, it will be possible to admire the Madonna with his/her Child and the Saints, a polittico of extraordinary beauty commissioned, after the 1348 plague, to the painter Bartolomeo Bulgarini, one of the teachers senesi of primary importance.
The work, very probably in the Convent of St. Domenico (now ex jail) it is currently, after various vicissitudes, in private collection and you/he/she is introduced to the great public for the first time. The issued ticket on purpose for the initiative, (7 European whole and 5 European meeting place) it will allow the access to other ten museums of the province in Siena disseminated among the Valdichiana, the Val of Orcia, the Chianti, the Clays Senesi and the Valdelsa.
