The sword in the rock

Near the abbey of St. Galgano, it appears to the traveller a woody hill surmounted by a Romanesque chiesetta to circular plant with campaniletto to sail (finished in 1185): it is Montesiepi, where he/she lived in loneliness and it died St. Galgano. To the center of the church, risen where in the place he/she lived from hermit, there is where the rock the Saint you/he/she would have hammered the sword in sign of peace, when definite to abandon the worldliness and to retire in prayer.
