The Dolomiteses Val of Ega

Val of Ega: the valley to see the stars; in this valley, in fact, to 2.000 meters the observatory Astronomic Max Valier is found, the only telescope of the tall Adige. In Val of Ega the bright pollution is very low, almost nonexistent, and this favors the vision of the stars. Not stopped you to the observation of the stars, you arrive a pò before the sunset and enjoy you the grandiose show that only the Dolomiteses can offer, the Enrosadira. The Val of Ega is surrounded from tall tops and in the summer period you/he/she can be assisted indeed to the unique phenomenon to become flushed some peaks. The Dolomiteses to the sunset, for a physical chemical phenomenon, they pass from the grey one to the pink one, to the pink intense: a show that in this valley it is particularly suggestive. It is worth to also visit the Val of Ega for this solo motive. Once lowered the night and after having booked a visit to the observatory the firmament it is admired, another very suggestive show.
The valley is crossed from the Great Road of the Dolomiteses: loved by writers and romantic painters, the road races hold and tortuous among tall walls of red rock, flowing to the sudden one in a pianoro from which, after all, the tops of the Catinaccio and the Laterman are seen, up to the Castel Cornedo. A visit also deserves the Sanctuary of the Madonna of Pietralba, a great Church and, many pilgrims' destination.
For the impassioned golfistis we signal, in the zone, a Sweater field with sight on the dolomitis. Aldino, is instead a point of departure for a fantastic excursion: around 5 kms between log cabins and lawns where the cows, the horses and the donkeys, pasture together. The path brings us to the Geoparc Bletterbach, a park geologic servant to protect the canyon formed him in the antiquity. The canyon is deep 400 meters and has a length of 8 kms, to its inside we can see the various bands geologiche with rests fossils, both sea that earthlings. A little far we find the White Horn, a naturalistic park with some little ponds, log cabins and areas of standstill for pic-nic.
In the winter period we move there to St. Floriano with 43 kms of footsteps for the lovers of the ski.
Near the Lake of Caress we find the forests of Red Fir of Resonance, used for realizing violins from the perfect sound and the famous Grand Hotel Karezza, where the Princess Sissi sojourned in the summer period. Also in this place, for the lovers of this sport, there is a Sweater field.
