The Dolomiteses Marmolada

The Marmolada, the peak of the Dolomiteses: with his/her 3.342 meters. This mountain he differentiates from the other mountains because the rock is not the dolomitica, but it is a dark rock that doesn't paint him of rose to the dawn and the sunset. Here we don't find malghe and log cabins to attend us but, in remuneration, we find the Glacier of the Marmolada, one of the few glaciers of the Dolomiteses you deign of note.
To reach the top of the Marmolada: Stings Fortress, we must take three funivies. From the first station the panorama begins to open to our eyes, while the second line brings us on the front of the Great War; from this station it is possible to cross paths that bring us in the trenches. The third line, conducts almost us to Point Fortress, to 3.270 meters; from here the tops of all the Dolomiteses you/they can be admired, and it is possible to also see the Grossglockner in Austria: to reach the top Aims Fortress, however, it is necessary to have the suitable equipment and a guide to avoid useless risks. To little distance from the arrival of the funivia we find the Madonna Regina of the Dolomiteses, consecrated by Pope Wojtyla.
The front of the first World war, has passed by these parts and brave men they are fought among these glaciers. The Austrians had dug 12 kms of galleries creating a real city of the ice. To visit: the Museum of the Great War in Marmolada.
Going down in the Val Pettorina we find the Natural Reserve I Shut of Sottoguda, a very narrow gully, with tall walls also 150 meters: the sun never penetrates you, even in full summer. The access in the summer period is allowed afoot only, while in winter the gully is frequented by climbers that they climb the falls of ice. To the Marmolada you/he/she can always be ski, both in the summer that in winter: it attends you the ski footstep, perhaps the longest to the world, 12 kms.
In the small countries in the outskirts we find laboratories that you/they work the iron and realizing valuable objects of beaten iron, while others use the wood to create oggettistica and statues.
