The animals of the Dolomiteses
The fauna of the dolomitis is very rich of kind, roes, chamoises, bucks, foxes, marmots, squirrels, canter the valleys. Numerous they are also the birds both migrants how permanent, the tops of the mountains are the kingdom of the eagles and the white partridges, while in the wood we find the woodpeckers, the owl, the owl and the rooster cedrone. The rivers, the streams and the lakes are populated from trouts and from a lot of other fish varieties. While of bugs we count over 5.000 different kinds of it.

Kind to risk
It seems strange, but the vipers reenter among the kinds to risk; in the zone dolomiticas exist three kinds of it, the viper (Viper berus), the common (Viper Aspis) viper, the viper from the horn (Viper ammodytes). The viper viper (Viper berus) lives in the woods, in the clearings, under the rododendris, in the walls of stone and bottom the stones, can be found up to 3.000 meters. The common (Viper Aspis) viper lives in the woods, in the sunny clearings, you/he/she doesn't usually overcome the quota of the 2.000 meters. The viper from the horn (Viper ammodytes) as the preceding ones loves the sunny and stony zones, you/he/she doesn't usually overcome the quota of the 1.700 meters. You pay particular attention and you follow the suggestions and you ask as you must behave you to the APT of the zone.

Gli Animali delle Dolomiti CaprioloMammalian
The great mammals of the dolomitis are the Bucks, the Roes, the Chamoises and the Stambecchis. The Bucks and the Roes live in the lowest zones and in the wood, while the Chamoises and the Stambecchis live in tall quota between ghiaioni and rocks. The other great present mammal is always the cow, that pastures here free and the night on some footsteps we can find her/it behind a curve... The great and stately Bucks have been reintrodotti in 1950, their great horns are a King of the dolomitis of it, the Roes that have a preference for the lawns and the wood to look for protection, they are in strong increase and therefore it is enough easy to see them. The loving Chamoises of the peaks don't disdain to go down above all to valley in the winter periods when it snows quite a lot.

The ancient inhabitants
The Dinosaurs, the imprints of dinosaur can find on the Pelmetto mountain. In antiquity 200 milinis of years ago, in this zone it was present the sea and the peaks they were islets, here explained the presence of the dinosaurs, that you/they browsed the present vegetation in this small lowland. To reach the Pelmetto mountain occore to now make not an itinerary too much binding around 1 of walk. From Fork Staulanza, he takes the path 472 that it directs him toward the shelter Venice. Later around 30 minutes of walk he leaves the path 472 to climb to the left toward the Pelmetto, the path it conducts us to a rock where the tracks of dinosaur are engraved.
