THE SECTION

The Section CAI of the Valdarno Inferiore was constituted in April of 1974 by a gruppetto of impassioned of the mountain that you/they were already partners of the Section in Florence of the Italian Club Alpino.
The demand of the new section was felt for bringing in the territory the opportunity to cultivate that values that were the reason for the institution of the Italian Club Alpino.
You/he/she was suffered determined the area of his/her competence that understood different communes at the edge of three provinces (Florence, Pisa and Pistoia), but near among them geographically and also for traditions and historical stories.

From 1989 to the denomination of Valdarno Inferiore it was assistant the name of "Giacomo Toni" the young one, prematurely disappeared, that had done his/her reason for life some mountain. It was a good mountain climber, instructor of climb and ski mountaineering, but above all an animator of the juvenile activities. Together to others said the turn that has brought the Section to the actual consistence.
