Abbey of St. Lawrence to Coltibuono Siena

The abbey of St. Lawrence to Coltibuono was built by Geremia de'Firidolfi in 770, subsequently the abbey was given to St. Giovanni Gualberto passing under the possessiones of the order Vallombrosiano. The church, is to form of Latin cross, it has an apse semicircolare and an only aisle covered from once eighteenth-century, while the transetto still introduces the times to barrel native. Inside the building they are preserved frescos and decorations in plaster eighteenth-century in Baroque style. Nell 1810, because of the Napoleonic suppressions, the convent was turned into farm and the abbey you/he/she was reduced to the role of parish church.
